Course Description:

HUMAN RESOURCES & ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: This workshop provides information about the employee’s and supervisor’s role in maintaining a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Participants will have the opportunity to review federal EEO laws, identify and discuss behaviors that might unknowingly contribute to a disrespectful or hostile environment, and identify ways to be proactive in creating a respectful work environment.

    • Equal Pay Act of 1963
    • Title VII of the Civil rights Act of 1964
    • Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1964
    • Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990
    • Sexual Harassment
  • Increasing awareness of respectful behavior in the workplace
  • Identifying respectful behavior
  • Identifying positive and proactive actions
  • Identifying resources
