Course Description:

HUMAN RESOURCES & ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Learn the basics of desktop publishing using Adobe InDesign CC. Find out how to create and modify facing and non-facing pages documents. Discover how to enter and edit text and add graphics. Become skilled at importing and threading text. Find out how to prepare your document for printing and how to create an Acrobat PDF file from your InDesign document. Please note: While this course is taught using Adobe InDesign version CC 2017, the content will still be relevant to users of other InDesign versions.

Prerequisites

  • Windows or Mac experience
  • Strong knowledge of word processing

Course Outline

  • Creating facing and non-facing pages documents
  • Working with page margins and columns
  • Creating pages and spreads
  • Adding text
  • Importing content from Microsoft Word
  • Threading text – manually and automatically
  • Basic character and paragraph formatting
  • Adding automatic page numbering
  • Adding and working with graphics
  • Basic text wrap
  • Applying basic color to text and frames
  • Export files as PDF
  • Packaging documents for print
