HUMAN RESOURCES & ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Having a difficult conversation with a customer, co-worker, supervisor or direct report takes courage. Avoiding these conversations is a short-term solution to what can become a long-term problem. During this workshop, participants will learn advanced communication skills to effectively engage in courageous conversations, with the goal of maintaining respect and reinforcing positive working relationships

Course Outline

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify underlying factors that can produce courageous conversations
  • Maintain respect by listening and responding with empathy
  • Prepare for and apply interaction process skills to guide difficult conversations effectively
  • Provide effective, positive feedback to reinforce positive working relationships
