|Course:||2111621 - Preventing Workplace Violence - Identifying and Intervening with Concerning Behaviors - EOD|
HUMAN RESOURCES & ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Nearly 2 million American workers report having been victims of physical violence, harassment, intimidation or other threatening behavior. Behavior such as this is classified as workplace violence and is costly to an organization resulting in increased safety concerns, lost productivity and lower employee morale. In most workplaces, violence risk factors and concerning behaviors can be identified. This workshop will focus on identifying workplace violence prevention and intervention strategies. Attendees will learn to identify concerning behaviors, develop communication skills to diffuse difficult situations, review university resources developed to support workplace violence prevention, and learn how to report concerns. This workshop is provided by the HR Employee Assistance Program.
